Abyssal
The realm of the Abyss is known only to few, mostly kept secret because of its dangerous nature. A place that exist beyond the realm of earth it is a place filled with darkness and death waiting at every corner with collossal beings always on the hunt for power. The two residing forces known there who rule are the abyssals and the apostates, here there is no good it is only a battle of the greater evils, the most deadly known were the abyssal Devils who has long since vanished but those who remain strike fear throughout.
Other known inhabitants of the Abyssal realm are the void dwellers.
Voidlings are small creatures that raise from the carcass of the fallen devils,apostate or the remains of a newly hatched devils . Naturally their life spans are short and pose no threats to the larger predators of the abyssal. There are a few that manage to manifest themselves among the ruins. Some would consume the carcass cocoon of which they awaken from and thus proceed to develop further resulting with some distinctive animistic voildings such as abyssal Wendigo, Sabers , Sirens etc.
Hybrids are the more evoluted voidlings. They develop forms of intelligence unlike the ruthless voiders that respond mostly towards Animal instincts. These Hybrids are the result of abyssal essences known as the taint conceiving with another foreign species (mostly humanoids). The taint usually make up about 80% of newborn's genetic. In some cases the taint, would dominate the recessive trait and evolve into full breed Abyssal Specter ( losing their term as a Hybrid)
The abyssal taint does not ensure survival and evolution process to all . Only a very few selected by the taint itself can proceed to evolve( If the host also accept the taint , this would allow the process of change to take place much easier). Many either fail to evolve and ends up as disposable low class voidlings or would be consume by the taint and fester until death.An ancient race known in modern days as Endeløs are the living proof of mass scale taint infectant. Majority of their lingering race have successfully merge with the taint with ease.
Abyssal shifters - Like their given terms, Its hard to make out their true forms since they are most likely to mimic almost any organism they encounter. Rumors that these shifters are the primordial of which abyssal Sirens originate from.
One other main figure head of the abyssal realm is the The Sovereign. Origin unknown of how this entity of discord came to be. Festering itself in the darkest corner of the Abyss, watching and waiting.
Devils
The devils were known to traverse through different dimensions with the sole purpose to invade other worlds.
They are the power seekers and posses a destructive nature making them formidable enemies and desired by other rulers within the abyss, only if they are able to obtain their power for there own selfish needs.
Once there were different breeds of devils throughout the abyss before the were wiped out, the first stage were the Void devils, mindless to everything but the sole purpose to seek out power and consume all life, they appear as genderless creatures with a humanoid appearance. But not all were ruled by there Lust for power completely, some breeds were able to take form and control their hunger breaking free from the caged bodies to become something more feared.
The most well known ones were the Chaos Devils, the colossal beings possessed an intellect unlike the other witless ones and only sought after the those that furthered their reach to a higher self. They were mostly distinguished by there many arms, often called the Hecatonchires or hundred arm devils, the only one of this breed still known to be alive is Asura the devourer of devils. Very few exist now the only know are the Three: Asura, Finis and Aeshma whom serve the dark Queen.
